![]() You could also download this preset and turn off the heavier filters (such as SSR or depth of field) during gameplay (ReShade lets you add shortcuts to turn filters on/off easily), and turn them on for screenshots. You can of course just use the LUTs and basic options, but your screenshots won’t look like mine unless you roll up your sleeves and get. I usually use that, then switch to a more performance-heavy one like HerbalWhite's if I want to take screenshots or just want to see how pretty the game can look. Drift is a preset that to get the most out of it you’ll want to be comfortable turning shaders on and off, experimenting, and possibly even tweaking a few simple values in the shader settings themselves. ![]() There are ReShade presets designed for gameplay (and it's fairly simple to make your own), the one I use simply adjusts colors, sharpens, adds more subtle bloom (I disabled the vanilla bloom), and adds shadows (MXAO). It does affect performance (when moving the camera around, I got around 30 FPS instead of the usual 60 FPS), and it's hard to see the UI. For example, the SSR filter that creates the reflections on the ground also creates reflections on surfaces that shouldn't have them, like carpet and on sims' bodies. ![]() It needs some tweaking for Sims 3 since it was made for Sims 2. It's not really made for gameplay, it's more for screenshots and videos, like the Sims 2 posts on HerbalWhite's Tumblr.
